We test and review AI companion platforms. Our coverage focuses on CrushOn AI and comparable platforms including Character.AI, Janitor AI, Candy AI, SpicyChat AI, and Replika. All reviews are based on hands-on testing with actual subscriptions.

What We Do Differently

Most AI companion platform review content is either platform marketing or surface-level summaries. We test the product, evaluate it against the specifications and claims, and report what we find — including the limitations.

Every review on this site includes a Cons section. Platforms we recommend have real limitations we disclose. Platforms we do not recommend get the same analytical treatment. The CrushOn AI review, for example, covers both the product strengths and the Mozilla Foundation's "Warning" privacy rating.

Our Testing Process

We create accounts at every tier we review. We test feature claims against the actual product. We track pricing changes and update content when platforms make significant changes. We check third-party evaluations (including Mozilla Foundation privacy ratings) and incorporate that context.

Reviews are updated at minimum quarterly. Significant platform changes — pricing restructuring, major feature additions, policy changes — trigger immediate updates.

Affiliate Disclosure

We earn commission when readers subscribe to platforms through affiliate links. This is disclosed on every page. Commission arrangements are with multiple competing platforms, which helps keep evaluations honest — we do not need any single platform to win to maintain our revenue.
